What is Naturoo?
A range of healthy Kangaroo meat products, such as tender loin and strip
loin fillets, rumps, topsides and silversides, sausages and patties. Naturoo
is a healthy, nutritional and environmentally sustainable food product.
What is the difference between Naturoo and other Kangaroo meats?
Naturoo is no ordinary Kangaroo meat, as it is specifically
quality controlled ensuring the most flavorsome and tender Kangaroo meat
available. A stringent selection criteria has been adapted to ensure maximum
tenderness.
What is the selection criteria?
A specific weight range which excludes older larger animals and the
specific selection of species ensures the superior eating qualities of
our portion controlled cuts.
Why Naturoo?
It is the healthy new ‘red’ meat with enormous nutritional
benefits.
What are the benefits of this ‘new’ red meat?
It is low in cholesterol; 99% fat free; high in protein and iron and has
no chemicals or growth hormones. It is also produced to the highest world
standards and the flavor is second to none.
How should it be cooked and served?
Due to its low fat content, if roasting or pan-frying it is recommended
to marinate Naturoo in quality oil and serve medium-rare
to medium for perfect results. Naturoo is the leanest, healthiest meat
available and it's so versatile, lending itself from Asian to French,
German to South American cuisine.
But why the Kangaroo, our national emblem?
There are well over 50 million Kangaroos roaming Australia and instead
of simply culling them and not utilizing them as a natural resource, the
Naturoo project will ensure the passive harvesting of
Kangaroos to meet the criteria of
a true premium meat product. This in turn will unlock benefits to Australia
and all Australians through good health along with ecological and economic
sustainability. With time, our farmers will no longer see them as a pest
but see them as an economically beneficial resource on their property,
and is also the best way to ensure they are being cared for.
